Effects of temperature on the respiratory metabolism, feeding and expression of three heat shock protein genes in Anadara broughtonii

Xuxu Liu et al.

Summary: The study found that temperature and growth stage are two important factors affecting the metabolism and feeding of A. broughtonii, with 24 degrees Celsius being the optimal temperature for each shell-length group. Additionally, heat shock protein genes respond rapidly to heat stress and can serve as indicators of cellular stress response in A. broughtonii under environmental pressure.

Caveolin-1, a novel player in cognitive decline

Wenxin Tang et al.

Summary: Cognitive decline (CD), associated with various diseases, is a growing health concern. Caveolin-1 (Cav-1) may serve as a potential therapeutic target by promoting neuronal plasticity, improving neurogenesis, relieving mitochondrial dysfunction, inhibiting inflammation, and alleviating oxidative stress.
