Completing the picture of initial oxidation on copper

Yun-Jae Lee et al.

Summary: Accurate atomistic models for metal/oxide interfaces are crucial for understanding copper-based interfacial processes, and in this study, the atomic structures of the 29 and 44 surfaces on Cu(111) are successfully revealed through ab initio STM simulations and experiments. A complete atomistic model for the larger 44 surface is elucidated, providing further insights into early oxidation on copper.

Tunable resistive switching of vertical ReSe2/graphene hetero-structure enabled by Schottky barrier height and DUV light

Shania Rehman et al.

Summary: The development of novel memtransistors has introduced additional functionalities in memory devices, but their high operating voltage is a challenge. This report explores a low-power gate tunable memristor using a vertical heterojunction of Copper/Rhenium diselenide/Graphene, where resistive switching is controlled by the barrier height at the interface. By tuning the work function of graphene, the barrier height and operating voltage can be manipulated, demonstrating potential for future applications in integrated optoelectronic systems.
