The Significant Influence of a Second Metal on the Antiproliferative Properties of the Complex [Ru(η6-C10H14)(Cl2)(dmoPTA)]

Nazanin Kordestani et al.

Summary: In this study, a series of metal complexes were synthesized and characterized, with bimetallic complexes showing higher antiproliferative activity in vitro without affecting normal cell viability. The complexes displayed different biological activities and action mechanisms depending on the nature of the metal ion bonded to the dmoPTA atoms.

Applications of radiocomplexes with thiosemicarbazones and bis(thiosemicarbazones) in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine

Gabrieli L. Parrilha et al.

Summary: Metallic radionuclides have diverse applications as diagnostic and therapeutic agents. This study reports the behavior of different radiometal complexes with mono(thiosemicarbazones) and bis(thiosemicarbazones) as potential radiopharmaceuticals. The application of bis(thiosemicarbazonato)copper(II) complexes as diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals has been successful, while other radioisotopes such as Ga-67/68, (111/114)mIn, and Tc-99m have also been used to obtain mono- and bis(thiosemicarbazone) complexes for potential diagnosis and therapy.

Impact of aliphatic acyl and aromatic thioamide substituents on the anticancer activity of Ru(II)-p-cymene complexes with acylthiourea ligands-in vitro and in vivo studies

Srividya Swaminathan et al.

Summary: Six different acylthiourea ligands and their Rubel-p-cymene complexes were designed and synthesized to explore the structure-activity relationship, showing an increase in activity with longer alkyl chain length or aromatic conjugation. The complexes were predicted to target MAPK pathway and demonstrated good binding affinities towards various kinases, with the most active complex showing high anticancer activity in tested cell lines.
