Construction of NIR and Ratiometric Fluorescent Probe for Monitoring Carbon Monoxide under Oxidative Stress in Zebrafish

Wen-Li Jiang et al.

Summary: A ratiometric near-infrared fluorescent probe CP-CO based on a coumarin-benzopyran fluorophore for imaging CO was developed with high sensitivity and enhancement ratio. The probe was successfully applied for ratiometric monitoring of cellular endogenous and exogenous CO levels, as well as fluorescence imaging in zebrafish using two-photon excitation. Moreover, CP-CO visualized the upregulation of CO under lipopolysaccharide-induced oxidative stress in a zebrafish model, showcasing its excellent ability in elucidating CO function in related biological events.
