Molecular Engineering of Polymer Dots for Electrochemiluminescence Emission

Hang Gao et al.

Summary: By tuning the side chain of polymers, AIE-active polymer dots (Pdots) with efficient photoluminescence (PL) and electrochemiluminescence (ECL) emission were successfully prepared. The introduction of carboxyl groups led to significant enhancement in PL and ECL emission, with a highest quantum yield of 54.7% for ECL, showing promising applications in visual detection for bioanalysis.

Potential- and Color-Resolved Electrochemiluminescence of Polymer Dots for Array Imaging of Multiplex MicroRNAs

Ningning Wang et al.

Summary: The research focuses on developing electrochemiluminescence (ECL) emitters for ECL analysis, with the synthesis of luminol-doped polymer dots (L-Pdots) and diethylamine-coupled Pdots (N-Pdots) to design a potential- and color-resolved ECL strategy. A novel ECL array imaging method was constructed for high-throughput detection of two microRNAs (miRNAs) using L-Pdots and N-Pdots, achieving detection limits of 2.5 and 3.1 pM, respectively. This work introduces a new family member of potential- or color-resolved ECL emitters and successfully realizes the simultaneous and high-throughput sensing of multiplex miRNAs.

Diacid Molecules Welding Achieved Self-Adaption Layered Structure Ti3C2 MXene toward Fast and Stable Lithium-Ion Storage

Mao-Cheng Liu et al.

Summary: Ti3C2 has been considered a potential material for lithium-ion storage due to its abundant surface terminals, excellent metal-like conductivity, and modifiable layered structure. However, the Li+ diffusion rate in the interlayer is limited by the small interlayer spacing determined by van der Waals forces. A novel chemical welding approach involving dehydration condensation between amino-functionalized Ti3C2 and maleic acid molecules was employed to enlarge the interlayer spacing, resulting in enhanced Li+ diffusion rate and improved storage performance.
