Preparation of fluorescent conjugated polymer micelles with multi-color emission for latent fingerprint imaging

Jun Wang et al.

Summary: The development of novel multi-color conjugated polymer micelles for fluorescence detection of fingerprints has been reported in this study, offering high-resolution fluorescent fingerprint images with reduced interference. Through a simple solution method, the polymer micelles showed high affinity towards fingerprint ridges, avoiding aggregation-caused quenching and enhancing fluorescence resonance energy transfer.

Suman G. R. et al.

Summary: The phenomenon of aggregation induced emission (AIE) has significantly changed the perception towards conventional photophysical phenomena and proved to be promising candidates for biosensors, opto-electronics, and energy applications due to the high quantum yield and tunable emission properties of AIE luminogens (AIEgens). The excellent stimuli responsiveness of AIEgens provides them with a key edge for sensitive measurements, making them valuable tools for applications such as intracellular temperature and pH sensing.
