Sub-femtogram sensing by engineering evanescent field on a single serially grafted waveguide

Bing Tan et al.

Summary: The study focused on enhancing the intensity of the evanescent field by coating high-refractive-index layer onto polymer waveguides, resulting in improved sensitivity of the optical fiber-waveguide-fiber (OFWF) sensors. By spectroscopic measurement, the coated OFWF sensors demonstrated high sensitivity and low detection limit in Rhodamine B aqueous solutions.

A nanoscale Nd-based metal-organic framework electrochemical sensor for rapid detection of Rhodamine B

Shaoxiong Feng et al.

Summary: A novel neodymium-based metal-organic framework (Nd-MOF) was synthesized and used to construct an efficient electrochemical sensor for the rapid and reliable detection of Rhodamine B (RhB). The Nd-MOF/GCE sensor exhibited strong accumulation ability and high electrocatalytic activity for RhB detection, with wide linear detection ranges and a low detection limit.

Rapid and sensitive detection of Rhodamine B in food using the plasmonic silver nanocube-based sensor as SERS active substrate

Nguyen Tran Truc Phuong et al.

Summary: The use of dye in food is harmful to human health and prohibited, but still exists due to benefits like cheap prices and abundant resources. Research shows that surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is a powerful technique for sensitive detection of ultra-low concentration Rhodamine B, thus aiding in preventing health risks to human.

An Ultraviolet-Visible Spectrophotometric Approach to Establish a Method for Determining the Presence of Rhodamine B in Food Articles

Sourapriya Mukherjee et al.

Summary: A UV-visible spectrophotometric method was developed and validated for the identification and estimation of rhodamine B in food articles. Rhodamine B exhibited a rose-pink color upon reaction with HCl, with a linear regression curve showing high accuracy and precision. Detection was further confirmed through thin layer chromatography and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance, demonstrating the accuracy of the proposed method for determining rhodamine B as a food coloring agent.
