Enhanced Carrier Transport in Strongly Coupled, Epitaxially Fused CdSe Nanocrystal Solids

Qinghua Zhao et al.

Summary: This study successfully transformed epitaxially connected PbSe nanocrystal thin films into high photoconductance zinc-blende CdSe NC solids through solid-state cation exchange reactions, and further improved the structure and photoconductivity using atomic-layer deposited Al2O3. The fabricated field-effect transistors showed high electron mobilities and on-off ratios after doping, demonstrating the potential for optoelectronic devices with high performance.

Ink-Lithography for Property Engineering and Patterning of Nanocrystal Thin Films

Junhyuk Ahn et al.

Summary: A one-step, ink-lithography technique has been developed to pattern and engineer thin films of colloidal nanocrystals, allowing modification of both the chemical nature of the nanocrystal surface and the physical properties of the thin films. This method has been successfully applied to engineer thin films of metals, semiconductors, and insulators for various applications.

Diffusion dynamics controlled colloidal synthesis of highly monodisperse InAs nanocrystals

Taewan Kim et al.

Summary: A growth model based on monomer diffusion dynamics was proposed to synthesize colloidal InAs QDs with a size over 9.0 nm and a narrow size distribution. By controlling the diffusion dynamics, the authors were able to overcome the size limitation of nanocrystal growth in solution and extend the spectral coverage of InAs QDs beyond 1S(max) of 1600 nm.
