An empirical examination of Green Star certification uptake and its relationship with BIM adoption in New Zealand

Dat Tien Doan et al.

Summary: This study examines the benefits, barriers/challenges, and solutions for the integration of Green Star and BIM in New Zealand. The research findings indicate that the most significant benefit of the integration is the use of BIM for building performance modelling in Green Star assessment. The main barrier preventing integration is the separate processes of Green Star and BIM. The most effective solution is showcasing BIM-Green Star benchmark projects.

Development of a conceptual model for evaluating the success of BIM-based construction projects

Oluseye Olugboyega et al.

Summary: The study proposes a conceptual model for evaluating the success of BBCPs by extracting eight success criteria and categorizing them based on the impact of BIM across four levels of project application. The findings suggest that the success of a BBCP is related to the extent of BIM application and an increase in success criteria is linked to the effectiveness of BIM, rather than its impact. This research is important for developing a model to assess the success of BIM-based construction projects.
