We present a case of a girl with new-onset type 1 diabetes, who experienced severe diabetic ketoacidosis accompanied by profound hypokalemia and hypernatremia. The clinical course, management challenges, and the potential impact of concomitant COVID-19 infection in complicating this case are described.
