Social network multiple-criteria decision-making approach for evaluating unmanned ground delivery vehicles under the Pythagorean fuzzy environment

Shouzhen Zeng et al.

Summary: This study proposes a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) framework combining the self-confidence aggregation approach and social trust network for selecting unmanned ground delivery vehicles (UGDVs) to achieve better applications in community delivery. A multi-criteria comprehensive evaluation system is constructed based on the internal characteristics of UGDVs. A trust propagation and aggregation mechanism is suggested to yield expert weights based on a social trust network. Additionally, a self-confidence Pythagorean fuzzy aggregation operator is proposed to enhance the credibility of the decision results.

Deconstructing three-stage overall efficiency into input, output and stability efficiency components with consideration of market power and loan loss provision: An application to Chinese banks

Hirofumi Fukuyama et al.

Summary: The study introduces a new three-stage DEA model to analyze bank efficiency, showcasing that stability efficiency scores highest and Chinese commercial banks exhibit the lowest input efficiency. Financial risk levels are higher in the central region of China, while the western region displays the opposite pattern in terms of input inefficiency.

IOWLAD-based MCDM model for the site assessment of a household waste processing plant under a Pythagorean fuzzy environment

Chonghui Zhang et al.

Summary: Household waste pollution is a major factor restricting urban development, leading to the need for a new household waste processing plant. A multiple-criteria decision-making framework based on the Pythagorean fuzzy induced ordered weighted logarithmic averaging distance (PFIOWLAD) operator was proposed to evaluate alternatives, which was verified through an illustrative case study in Shanghai involving five criteria and five alternatives. The robustness and effectiveness of the framework were demonstrated by comparing results with previous approaches.

Selective research funding policy and catching up the ladder in university research performance in Malaysia

V. G. R. Chandran et al.

Summary: The study reveals that research universities have shown significant achievements in scientific publications and patenting activities, but overall efficiency performance is still low due to lack of innovation efficiency and value creation efficiency. On the other hand, non-research universities are catching up in efficiency gains and have greater efficiency in value creation.
