Lean transformation framework for treatment-oriented outpatient departments

Summary: The Lean transformation framework established in this study aims to reduce wait times and increase resource utilisation in treatment-oriented outpatient departments by identifying balanced patient demand, scheduling non-specialists, and levelling patient schedules. Results from a case study show significant improvements in patient visit times, daily treatments, and utilisation of resources, indicating the framework's effectiveness in Lean transformation.
