Mindfulness-based interventions: an overall review

Dexing Zhang et al.

Summary: Mindfulness-based interventions have been found effective for improving various biopsychosocial conditions in healthcare, schools, and workplace settings. However, there is still controversy and insufficient evidence on the effects of MBIs on certain conditions such as PTSD and ADHD, as well as uncertainties regarding the cost-effectiveness for many health conditions and populations. Further high-quality research is needed to clarify these issues and explore new areas for development.

Development and Validation of the Equanimity Scale-16

Holly T. Rogers et al.

Summary: The study developed a self-report measure of equanimity and found a 16-item scale with good internal consistency and test-retest reliability. The scale showed convergent and divergent validity by correlating with other relevant scales in the expected direction. The Equanimity Scale-16 appears to be a valid and reliable tool for assessing trait equanimity and may be useful in evaluating progress in mindfulness-based interventions.
