Decentring scholarship through learning with/from each 'other'

Hazel Tucker et al.

Summary: The contemporary tourism world is characterized by mobilities from the East and West, yet tourism scholarship remains highly Anglo-Western-centric. Through 'situated' educational experiences, researchers can explore and reflect on being 'other', leading to a more diversified and culturally relevant tourism scholarship. The international mix of researchers provides a potential for a tourism scholarship that is more open and sensitive to different backgrounds and experiences.
