Soliton Rectangular Pulses and Bound States in a Dissipative System Modeled by the Variable-Coefficients Complex Cubic-Quintic Ginzburg-Landau Equation

Yuan-Yuan Yan et al.

Summary: The study focused on the complex cubic-quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation and calculated the analytic one-soliton solution of the variable-coefficients CQGLE. It was found that rectangular dissipative soliton pulses of the variable-coefficients CQGLE can be effectively realized and controlled, breaking through the energy limitation of soliton pulses and potentially providing a theoretical basis for the preparation of high-energy soliton pulses in fiber lasers.

Ro-vibrational energy and thermodynamic properties of molecules subjected to Deng-Fan potential through an improved approximation

Debraj Nath et al.

Summary: This paper accurately solves the Schrodinger equation with Deng-Fan potential using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. A modified Pekeris-type approximation is proposed, offering a series of approximations and recovering existing ones in special cases, with efficiency demonstrated by comparing eigenvalues for four molecules. Analytical expressions are derived for energies and thermodynamic properties, with discussion on the quantum correction effects and lambda parameter impact.

Klein-Gordon equation and thermodynamic properties with the Hua plus modified Eckart potential (HPMEP)

C. P. Onyenegecha et al.

Summary: In this paper, the Nikiforov-Uvarov method is applied to solve the Klein-Gordon equation with the Hua plus modified Eckart potential, yielding analytical solutions for the energy eigenvalues and wave functions. It is shown that in the non-relativistic limit, the solution of the Klein-Gordon equation simplifies to that of the Schrodinger equation. Special cases of the Hua plus modified Eckart potential, including modified Eckart, Hua, Morse, and Poschl-Teller Potentials, are also discussed. Additionally, the partition function and other thermodynamic properties of H-2, CO, NO, and N-2 molecules are investigated.

Bright soliton solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional generalized coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equation with the four-wave mixing term

Lill Wang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates optical solitons in birefringent fiber by studying the (2+1)-dimensional generalized coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equation with the four-wave mixing (FWM) term. The study explores how the FWM parameter and some free parameters affect solitons' performance, as well as their energy transfer during elastic collision and separation. The conclusions drawn from this research may prove useful in improving communication quality in multi-mode fibers.

Linear and nonlinear optical properties in spherical quantum dots: Inversely quadratic Hellmann potential

L. Mathe et al.

Summary: This work aims to provide new insights into the optical properties of quantum dots confined in an inverse of a quadratic Hellmann potential. The Schrodinger equation is solved using the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method to obtain analytical expressions of the eigenenergies and eigenfunctions. The changes in absorption coefficients and refractive index are investigated using the density matrix formalism, showing a strong relation to the structure parameters and optical intensity.

Solutions of the 2D Schrodinger equation and its thermal properties for improved ultra-generalized exponential hyperbolic potential (IUGE-HP)

Akpan Ndem Ikot et al.

Summary: This research investigates the 2D Schrodinger equation with improved ultra-generalized exponential-hyperbolic potential, considering the effects of external magnetic and Aharonov-Bohm fields using the asymptotic iteration method. The presence of external fields eliminates degeneracy from the energy spectra and causes shifts in energy levels based on control parameters. The study also analyzes the thermal and magnetic properties of the system in the presence of these external fields.

Summary: The study examines thermodynamic properties using Hua potential and derives the energy of the system through solving the Schrodinger equation using the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. It then obtains vibration partition function and other thermodynamic properties, such as vibrational mean energy U, free energy F, entropy S, and specific heat capacity C, which are represented using various plots.

Analytical solutions of D-dimensional Klein-Gordon equation with modified Mobius squared potential

C. P. Onyenegecha et al.

Summary: Approximate solutions to the Klein-Gordon equation with the modified Mobius squared potential were obtained using the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method, resulting in relativistic energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions. It was demonstrated that in the non-relativistic limit, the energy eigenvalues converge to those of the Schrödinger equation. The behavior of CO, NO, and HCl molecules under the influence of the modified Mobius squared potential was investigated, with numerical values of energies for arbitrary quantum numbers presented.
