Inferring the trip purposes and uncovering spatio-temporal activity patterns from dockless shared bike dataset in Shenzhen, China

Shaoying Li et al.

Summary: This study introduces a method based on gravity model and Bayesian rules for inferring the trip purposes of dockless shared-bike users, which was applied in Shenzhen, China. The research considers various comprehensive factors, such as distance, time, environment, activity type proportion, and service capacity of points of interest (POIs). Results demonstrate that introducing activity type proportion and service capacity of POIs can enhance the effectiveness of inferring the purposes of dockless shared-bike trips.
