How Does the Digital Economy Affect the Domestic Value-Added Rate of Chinese Exports?

Summary: This study found through data analysis that the development of the digital economy significantly promotes the growth of the domestic value-added rate of manufacturing industry exports in China, especially for intermediate product exports. The digital economy mainly has a positive impact on capital-intensive and knowledge-intensive manufacturing industries, with technological progress and cost reduction being important mechanisms through which the digital economy promotes the domestic value-added rate of exports.
