An intergroup approach to collective narcissism: Intergroup threats and hostility in four European Union countries

Summary: This study aims to explore the predictors and consequences of collective narcissism. The results show that both integrated and distinctiveness threat can predict increased national collective narcissism and national ingroup satisfaction, but only national collective narcissism is associated with negative emotions and hostile behavioral intentions towards threatening outgroups.

The cultural dimension of intergroup conspiracy theories

Results showed that these beliefs were stronger among Chinese participants due to higher power distance values and vertical collectivism. Cultural dimensions promoting hierarchy in society were associated with increased intergroup conspiracy beliefs, through psychological involvement in intergroup conflict.

The Paranoid Style in American Politics Revisited: An Ideological Asymmetry in Conspiratorial Thinking

Extreme conservatives are more likely to engage in conspiratorial thinking than extreme liberals.
