Innovation dynamics and fiscal policy: Implications for growth, asset prices, and welfare

Michael Donadelli et al.

Summary: Through equilibrium analysis using an endogenous growth model, we have studied the impact of different fiscal policies on macroeconomic quantities and welfare. Our findings suggest that R&D subsidies, capital investment subsidies, and cuts in corporate tax rates have differing effects on economic growth and welfare, with only subsidies to capital investments and cuts in the corporate tax rate potentially increasing both growth and welfare.
