The Association Between the Single Leg Hop Test and Lower-Extremity Injuries in Female Athletes: A Critically Appraised Topic

Paige Guild et al.

Summary: Five prospective cohort studies in female college SA assessed athletes' SLH scores prior to the start of the athletic season. One study found an association between SLH and injury risk. Two additional studies found that SLH, as part of a battery of functional performance tests, was associated with injury risk in specific anatomic locations, such as the thigh/knee, but not overall injury risk.
