Empathy Levels in Albanian Health Professional Students: An Explorative Analysis Using the Jefferson Scale of Empathy

Summary: This study aimed to define the psychometric properties of the Albanian Jefferson Scale of Empathy for Health Professional Students, compare empathy levels among Albanian Health Professional students, and explore any relationship between students' characteristics and their empathy levels. The findings confirmed the psychometric properties of the scale, with midwifery, physiotherapy, and female students showing higher levels of empathy, and third-year students demonstrating higher empathy levels compared to first- and second-year students.
