The functional organization of axonal mRNA transport and translation

Irene Dalla Costa et al.

Summary: Recent publications have revealed new mechanisms for regulating axonal transport and localized translation of mRNA, converging on RNA regulons that drive various axonal functions. These different regulatory pathways act as organizing platforms to modulate the axon's proteome to meet its physiological needs.

The nerve injuries attenuate the persistence of psoriatic lesions

Bi Qin et al.

Summary: Clinical cases suggest that nerve involvement can alleviate or even clear/spare local lesions under the control of injured nerves, with only about 1/3 experiencing partial recurrence. Mouse experiments demonstrate that unilateral denervation prior to imiquimod application can attenuate the enhancement of inflammatory reactions and induction of dermatitis, while denervation after dermatitis induction can promote the regression of inflammatory reactions and recovery of dermatitis.

The Role of Semaphorins and Their Receptors in Innate Immune Responses and Clinical Diseases of Acute Inflammation

Shreya M. Kanth et al.

Summary: Semaphorins are a group of proteins that play a critical role in neuronal development and have effects on tumors, autoimmune diseases, and immune responses. Recent literature has highlighted their regulatory role in innate immunity and diseases caused by acute injuries, such as in the kidneys, abdomen, heart, and lungs.

Ixekizumab May Improve Renal Function in Psoriasis

Giuseppe Fabrizio Amoruso et al.

Summary: This case report discusses a patient with stage-three chronic renal failure who showed improvement after treatment with ixekizumab. Blocking IL17A may be helpful in treating autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as psoriasis, potentially reducing the impact on renal function. Further research is needed to confirm the effectiveness of this drug in renal conditions.

Suppression of neuropeptide by botulinum toxin improves imiquimod-induced psoriasis-like dermatitis via the regulation of neuroimmune system

Syahla Nisaa Amalia et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the role of neuropeptides secreted from neurons in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. It was found that inhibiting neuropeptide release using Botulinum toxin B can alleviate inflammation, immune cell infiltration, and IL-17 production, leading to an improvement in psoriasis symptoms. Neuropeptide inhibitors could be a potential treatment option for psoriasis.
