Enhanced sensitivity of zinc phthalocyanine-based microporous humidity sensors by varying size of electrode gaps

Nur Azmina Mohamed Safian et al.

Summary: Organic materials are increasingly being used in sensing devices, with zinc phthalocyanine (ZnPc) showing promise. A microporous device using ZnPc as the sensing mechanism for a humidity sensor was fabricated, and the effect of electrode gap on electrical properties was analyzed. The device with the shortest electrode gap exhibited the highest sensitivity, outperforming longer gaps, with additional investigations on hysteresis, response, and recovery performances.
