Development and Validation of a Mobile Phone Application Developed for Measuring Dietary Fiber Intake

Rebecca Ahlin et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that the developed mobile phone application accurately measured dietary fiber intake and showed a significant correlation with measurements from a dietary record. Vegetables and roots were found to contribute most to total and soluble fiber intake, while bread and crackers were the main sources of insoluble fiber intake. The application can be considered a useful and easy-to-use method for measuring dietary fiber intake.
