Hybrid rayleigh-van der pol-duffing oscillator: Stability analysis and controller

Chun-Hui He et al.

Summary: This study examined the hybrid oscillator HRVD with a cubic-quintic nonlinear term and an external excited force. Different mathematical techniques were used to study the stability and control methods of the oscillator, with NIPPF controller found to be the most effective. Through numerical and graphical analysis, the impact of the controller at the primary resonance case was discussed.

Nanoscale control of internal inhomogeneity enhances water transport in desalination membranes

Tyler E. Culp et al.

Summary: Biological membranes achieve high permeabilities and ideal selectivities through well-defined nanoscale structures of membrane proteins. Polyamide desalination membranes can maximize water permeability without sacrificing salt selectivity by systematically controlling nanoscale polyamide inhomogeneity.

UV photoelectric properties of aligned TiO2 nanotubes with different wall thickness

Bozhi Wu et al.

Summary: TiO2 nanotubes with different wall thicknesses were fabricated using three processes, and the 39nm thick nanotubes showed better UV response and faster recovery speed under 365nm illumination. The UV response mechanism and advantages of horizontally ordered TiO2 nanotubes were also discussed in the study.

Jetting behavior as a bubble bursts in free space

Ziyue Wang et al.

Summary: This study explores the behavior of bubble bursting in free space and the resulting jet flows, highlighting the inhibitory effect of viscosity on droplets and jets. Experimental results establish a phase diagram for jetting behavior and identify threshold conditions for jetting and liquid clump formation. The role of viscosity at the moment of jetting is emphasized in controlling droplet formation in various applications.

MECHANISM STUDY OF HIGHLY ORDERED JETS IN AN IMPROVED ELECTROSPINNING PROCESS

Lulu Gao et al.

Summary: An improved electrospinning method using two positively charged rings has been suggested to fabricate highly ordered nanofibers. The theoretical analysis and experimental study conducted investigated the mechanism of highly ordered jets during the spinning process. The optimal distance between the two rings was found to significantly improve the ordered degree of the nanofibers, demonstrating the potential for enhancing product properties.
