Effects of Dipsacus asperoides Extract on Monosodium Iodoacetate-Induced Osteoarthritis in Rats Based on Gene Expression Profiling

Jin Mi Chun et al.

Summary: In this study, an ethanolic extract of Dipsacus asperoides showed protective effects against osteoarthritis in a rat model, reducing knee joint diameter and preventing changes in joint structure and histological features. Gene expression profiling revealed involvement of canonical pathways, including WNT/beta-catenin signaling, in the protective effects of the extract.

Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-Allergic Effects of Saponarin and Its Impact on Signaling Pathways of RAW 264.7, RBL-2H3, and HaCaT Cells

Seon-Young Min et al.

Summary: Saponarin, a flavone found in young green barley leaves, demonstrates anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and skin-protective effects, making it a potential functional ingredient in cosmetics. Its inhibitory effects on cytokine expression and signaling pathways in different types of cells suggest utility in preventing and treating immune-related skin diseases like atopic dermatitis.
