Addition of V-Stage to Conventional TNM Staging to Create the TNVM Staging System for Accurate Prediction of Prognosis in Colon Cancer: A Multi-Institutional Retrospective Cohort Study

Jung Hoon Bae et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the prognostic impact of vascular invasion (VI) in colon cancer compared to nodal (N) stage and introduced a new TNVM staging system that includes VI. Results showed that VI in colon cancer had a similar prognostic impact as the N2 stage without VI, and incorporating the V-stage into conventional TNM staging improved prognostic prediction.
