In Situ Microfibrillation of Polyamide 66 and Construction of Ordered Polytetrafluoroethylene Fibers to Significantly Reduce the Friction Coefficient of Polyphenylene Sulfide

You Shi et al.

Summary: By constructing an ordered microfibrillar structure and fibers in a high-shear force field, self-lubricating polyphenylene sulfides (PPS) were achieved, exhibiting lower friction coefficient and wear rate. The worn surface of the PPS/PA/PTFE composites prepared by thin-wall injection molding (TIM) displayed smoother and more stable transfer film coupling, improving the tribological properties significantly.
