Effect of surgical menopause and frontal lobe cognitive function

Summary: This study aimed to explore the prevalence of decreased frontal lobe function in women with surgical menopause, finding that almost three-quarters of participants had decreased frontal lobe function, with education duration greater than 6 years being a protective factor. Menopause hormone therapy did not seem to have a detrimental effect on frontal lobe function when initiated in young women with surgical menopause.

Prevalence of mild cognitive impairment in surgical menopause: subtypes and associated factors

Summary: This study aimed to determine the prevalence and associated factors of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and subtypes in women with surgical menopause. The results showed a high prevalence of MCI and the non-amnestic subtype in this population, with education level being the only independent factor associated with MCI and its subtypes. Further research is needed to investigate the long-term effects of surgical menopause on cognitive function.
