Multiorbital singlet pairing and d plus d superconductivity

Emilian M. Nica et al.

Summary: Recent experiments in multiband Fe-based and heavy-fermion superconductors have challenged the long-held dichotomy between simple s- and d-wave spin-singlet pairing states. Advanced time-reversal-invariant irreducible pairings that go beyond the standard singlet functions through a matrix structure in the band/orbital space. These pairings are shown to have naturalness in multiband systems and suggest that d-wave superconductors in correlated multiband systems will generically have a fully-gapped Fermi surface when examined at sufficiently low energies.

Scaling laws for ion irradiation effects in iron-based superconductors

Daniele Torsello et al.

Summary: This study presents ion irradiation experiments on compounds of the BaFe2As2 family, revealing clear scaling laws for modification rates with displacements per atom and power law dependence on ion energy. The experiments cover a wide range of ions and energies, and the results provide insights into the irradiation-induced effects on superconducting critical temperature and normal state resistivity.
