Melting heat transfer in hybrid nanofluid flow along a moving surface

Najiyah Safwa Khashi'ie et al.

Summary: The impact and capability of Cu-Al2O3/water nanoliquid as the heat transfer fluid during melting heat transfer on a moving surface are numerically investigated. The results show that the use of hybrid nanofluid assists boundary layer separation, but also increases the heat transfer rate.

Hybrid nanofluid flow towards a stagnation point on an exponentially stretching/shrinking vertical sheet with buoyancy effects

Iskandar Waini et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the flow of a hybrid nanofluid towards a stagnation point on an exponentially stretching/shrinking vertical sheet with buoyancy effects. The authors found that the heat transfer rate is higher for the Al2O3-Cu/water hybrid nanofluid compared to Cu/water nanofluid, and observed non-uniqueness of solutions for certain physical parameters. Additionally, bifurcation of solutions was noticed in the downward buoyant force and shrinking regions.

MHD flow and heat transfer of hybrid nanofluid over a permeable moving surface in the presence of thermal radiation

Nurul Amira Zainal et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flow and heat transfer characteristics of hybrid nanofluid on a permeable moving surface in the presence of magnetohydrodynamics and thermal radiation. The results show that the presence of a magnetic field and suction slows down the fluid motion, while an increase in thermal radiation parameter enhances heat transfer rate. Additionally, stability analysis confirms the existence of dual solutions within a specific range of moving parameters, with only one solution being physically relevant.

Radiative hybrid nanofluid flow past a rotating permeable stretching/shrinking sheet

Nur Syazana Anuar et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the stability analysis of Cu-Al2O3/water nanofluid under radiation and suction effects on a rotating stretching/shrinking sheet. The study reveals non-unique solutions for certain shrinking parameter values and significant impact of suction parameter on obtaining solutions. The presence of copper nanoparticle volume fractions results in increased local skin friction and decreased local Nusselt number on the shrinking surface.

MHD hybrid nanofluid flow over a permeable stretching/shrinking sheet with thermal radiation effect

Ubaidullah Yashkun et al.

Summary: This study investigates the heat transfer characteristics of MHD hybrid nanofluid over a linear stretching and shrinking surface with suction and thermal radiation effects. The study finds that the heat transfer efficiency of the hybrid nanofluid is greater than the nanofluid, and dual solutions exist for a specific range of the stretching/shrinking parameter. Additionally, the skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number increase with suction effect, and suction and thermal radiation widen the range of the stretching/shrinking parameter for which solutions exist.

Cross flow and heat transfer past a permeable stretching/shrinking sheet in a hybrid nanofluid

Natalia C. Rosca et al.

Summary: The purpose of this paper is to investigate laminar boundary layer cross flow and heat transfer on a rotational stagnation-point flow over a porous wall submerged in hybrid nanofluids. It was found that the basic similarity equations admit dual solutions for stretching/shrinking surfaces, with the upper branch solution being physically realizable while the lower branch solution is not. The authors believe that the numerical results presented in this paper are new and original.

Influence of heat transfer on MHD Carreau fluid flow due to motile cilia in a channel

Khadija Maqbool et al.

Summary: The research investigates the combined effects of magnetic field and buoyancy force on mixed convective flow through a ciliated channel, showing that Hartmann number decelerates the flow while Weissenberg number, Grashof number, and Carreau fluid parameter accelerate it. Heat transfer rate increases with higher values of Hartmann number, Weissenberg number, Carreau fluid parameter, and Brinkmann number.

Impact of hybrid nanofluids on MHD flow and heat transfer near a vertical plate with ramped wall temperature

Vemula Rajesh et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on the energy augmentation using hybrid nanofluids, aiming to find analytical solutions for unsteady hybrid nanofluid flow with heat transfer past an infinite flat vertical plate. Various effects of hybrid nanofluids on unsteady flow and heat transfer features in the presence of magnetic field, thermal radiation, and temperature-dependent heat source are explored. The results show that an increase in average Nusselt number occurs with nanoparticle volume fraction, and this enhancement can be further improved with the use of hybrid nanofluids.

MHD Flow and Heat Transfer of Hybrid Nanofluid over an Exponentially Shrinking Surface with Heat Source/Sink

Mohamad Nizam Othman et al.

Summary: This study focused on the flow and heat transfer behaviors of hybrid nanofluid with carbon nanotubes on a permeable exponentially shrinking surface and investigated the effects of a magnetic field and heat source/sink. The authors developed a mathematical model and found dual solutions within a specific range, while also analyzing the impact of heat source/sink on the Nusselt number. The study concluded that the heat transfer rate of the hybrid nanofluid is better than regular nanofluid and conventional fluid.
