Serious Workplace Violence Against Healthcare Providers in China Between 2004 and 2018

The incidents are more common in urban areas, teaching hospitals, and tertiary hospitals, particularly in the Emergency Department, Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, and pediatric departments. The implementation of a law in 2015 may have contributed to a decrease in serious workplace violence incidents.

Mediating role of coping styles on anxiety in healthcare workers victim of violence: a cross-sectional survey in China hospitals

Summary: The study found that the incidence of workplace violence among healthcare workers in county-level hospitals in China is relatively high, with 67.28% experiencing violence in the past 12 months. Hospital violence was negatively related to positive coping, but positively related to negative coping and anxiety. Positive and negative coping played a mediating role in the impact of hospital violence on healthcare workers' anxiety.
