Hinting a dark matter nature of Sgr A* via the S-stars

E. A. Becerra-Vergara et al.

Summary: The motion data of S-stars around the Galactic Centre gathered in the last 28 yr suggests that Sgr A* hosts a supermassive compact object close to 4 x 10(6) solar masses, not a traditional black hole, possibly related to a core-halo distribution of dark matter termed "darkinos." By using astrometry data of S2 and G2, the alternative nature of Sgr A* as a dense core of darkinos is confirmed and extended.

On the 2PN Pericentre Precession in the General Theory of Relativity and the Recently Discovered Fast-Orbiting S-Stars in Sgr A

Lorenzo Iorio

Summary: Recently, the author analytically computed the secular pericentre precession to the second post-Newtonian (2PN) order, finding discrepancies in previous results and correcting calculation errors. The study showed that, after appropriate parameter conversions, different methods yield the same analytical expression, and it may be measurable for some recently discovered S-stars in the future.

Einstein, Planck and Vera Rubin: Relevant Encounters Between the Cosmological and the Quantum Worlds

Paolo Salucci et al.

Summary: In the fields of cosmology and fundamental physics, the elusive nature and composition of dark matter in the universe remain a mystery. Observations and experiments have indicated that this phenomenon is not yet fully understood within established theories and may involve new physics beyond current frameworks. The review explores this mystery from various angles, highlighting the interconnected nature of different fields of physics in addressing the dark matter puzzle.

Gravitational waves in non-local gravity

Salvatore Capozziello et al.

Summary: In this study, gravitational waves in a theory with non-local curvature corrections to the Hilbert-Einstein Lagrangian were derived, revealing additional scalar modes with mass in addition to the standard massless tensor modes with polarizations. The quasi-Lorentz E(2)-invariant class for non-local gravity is classified as type N(3) according to the Petrov classification, indicating the observer-independent nature of the presence or absence of gravitational wave modes.
