Physical activity engagement and responses to exercise in plaque psoriasis: a multifactorial investigation of influential factors

Clinton Enos et al.

Summary: Psoriasis may increase the risk of physical inactivity. Patients with psoriasis choose slower treadmill speeds and are more prone to itching during exercise. Psoriasis severity, self-efficacy, and pruritus are associated with physical activity levels.

Increased peripheral helper T cells type 17 subset correlates with the severity of psoriasis vulgaris

Wenjing Liu et al.

Summary: A new subgroup of T cells named peripheral helper T (Tph) cells has been implicated in autoimmune pathogenesis, with an imbalance of Tph cell subsets influencing the severity of immune-related diseases. Specifically, in psoriasis patients, Tph17 cells were found to be activated and correlated with disease severity, while plasma CXCL13 levels were elevated and associated with disease severity and Tph17 cell frequency. CD4(+)CXCR5(+) Tfh cells were also increased in psoriasis patients and positively correlated with disease severity, Tph17 cells frequency, and plasma CXCL13 levels, suggesting them as potential immunotherapeutic targets.

Triphenylphosphonium-Derived Bright Green Fluorescent Carbon Dots for Mitochondrial Targeting and Rapid Selective Detection of Tetracycline

Sathish Rajendran et al.

Summary: This research presents a novel type of carbon dots that can serve as both mitochondrial labeling agents and tetracycline sensors, exhibiting a high quantum yield of fluorescence. These carbon dots have the ability to recognize cellular mitochondria and rapidly detect tetracycline in a quenching response.

Detoxification modification of coal-tar pitch by ultraviolet & microwave radiation-enhanced chemical reaction and toxicity evaluation by chemical index and cytotoxicity assay in vitro

Yu-Gao Wang et al.

Summary: The study successfully reduced the total content of 16 toxic PAHs in coal tar pitch (CTP) through modification using 10-undecenal catalyzed alkylation reaction enhanced by ultraviolet and microwave radiation. In vitro cell experiments also demonstrated a decrease in cellular toxicity when exposed to the modified CTP.
