Gold nanostructure-programmed fl exible electrochemical biosensor for detection of glucose and lactate in sweat

Mengke Yu et al.

Summary: The research focuses on developing a sensitive and flexible sensor for real-time monitoring of glucose and lactate in sweat at micromolar level and millimolar level using gold nanopine needles (AuNNs) as the signal amplification strategy. The fabricated electrochemical sweat biosensor achieved low detection limits for glucose and lactate, showed great selectivity, reproducibility, and stability, indicating its potential applications in wearable skin sensors for determination of glucose and lactate.

A Bendable Biofuel Cell-Based Fully Integrated Biomedical Nanodevice for Point-of-Care Diagnosis of Scurvy

Mimi Sun et al.

Summary: This work demonstrates the first example of a fully integrated biomedical nanodevice based on a bendable biofuel cell, which is simple, portable, pump-free, cost-saving, and easy to use for the point-of-care diagnosis of scurvy. The cost-effective strategy used in the design greatly reduces the cost of feedstock, making it suitable for resource-poor settings.

Humidity compensation based on power-law response for MOS sensors to VOCs

Meng Yan et al.

Summary: A compensation model for humidity in Metal oxide semiconductor sensors was proposed for detecting volatile organic compounds vapor. Water vapor was considered a reactant in the response, and a power law model was introduced. The model showed good verification in experimental systems and could be applied to electronic noses for improved recognition results.
