In this study, a copper-mediated decarboxylative coupling reaction of 3-indoleacetic acids with pyrazolones was described. This protocol allows for new functionalization of pyrazolones under simple reaction conditions and demonstrates high compatibility with different functional groups and wide substrate scope. Importantly, the resulting products exhibit antiproliferative activity against cancer cells.
