Factors Affecting Bacterial Adhesion on Selected Textile Fibres

Swati Varshney et al.

Summary: The study revealed that different fiber types exhibit varying degrees of bacteria adherence, with viscose showing the strongest adherence and silk showing the weakest. Bacterial adhesion was influenced by surface characteristics of the bacteria and nanoroughness of fibers. The findings highlight the correlation between surface properties and bacterial adherence on fibers, with direct implications for medical and hospitality industries.
