The use of geroprotectors to prevent multimorbidity: Opportunities and challenges

Samir Morsli et al.

Summary: More than 60% of people over the age of 65 will suffer from multiple diseases concomitantly, and geroprotectors have the potential to tackle many diseases with the same pharmacological intervention. However, challenges exist in understanding the differences in mode of action in different tissues and the need for a more nuanced approach in using geroprotective medicine effectively in the treatment of age-associated multimorbidity.
