Induction of adventitious shoots and tetraploids in Antirrhinum majus L. by treatment of antimitotic agents in vitro without plant growth regulators

The Su Hlaing et al.

Summary: This study examined the effects of five anti-mitotic agents on the induction of adventitious shoots and tetraploids in Antirrhinum majus L. 'Maryland True Pink'. Three of the agents were found to induce both adventitious shoots and tetraploids without the use of plant growth regulators. The frequency of adventitious shoot formation may serve as an index for the induction of tetraploids.
