Summary: The study evaluated the effect of housing system and gender on the growth performance, muscle fibers, and bone characteristics of growing rabbits. Significant interactions were found between housing system and gender, with differences observed in dressing percentage, fiber cross-sectional area, and calcium and phosphorus content in tibias. Pen housed rabbits generally showed higher values in various traits compared to cage housed rabbits, indicating the importance of housing system choice in rabbit production.
