Summary: The study evaluated the effects of different plant extracts at various dietary levels on growth performance, immune response and ileal microflora of Ross chickens. Supplementation with thyme at 300 mg/L level had the greatest benefits, improving weight gain, feed efficiency, carcass traits, blood serum parameters and immune response against sheep red blood cells. Thyme extracts also reduced coliforms and aerobic bacteria levels, while increasing lactobacilli bacteria levels.
