Membrane processes for CO2 removal and fuel utilization enhancement for solid oxide fuel cells

A novel biodegradable porous graphitic carbon nitride/poly(lactic acid) fiber photocatalyst for efficient elimination of carbamazepine under solar irradiation

In this study, graphitic carbon nitride/polylactic acid (g-C3N4/PLA) fiber composites with hierarchical porous structure were successfully prepared, showing high removal efficiency of carbamazepine (CBZ) under solar irradiation. The reaction mechanisms and degradation pathways were identified, with superoxide radicals, singlet oxygen, and holes identified as dominant active species in the photocatalytic system. The porous fiber composites exhibited not only superior photocatalytic performance and stability, but also biodegradability without causing secondary pollution, providing a promising approach for environmental-friendly wastewater treatment.
