Adequate surgical margins for oral cancer: A Taiwan cancer registry national database analysis

Summary: This study analyzed the impact of surgical margins on cancer-specific survival and overall survival in oral cancer patients based on a nationwide cancer registry database. The results showed that surgical margins <4 mm and <5 mm predict poor cancer-specific survival and overall survival, respectively, highlighting the importance of adequate margins in improving prognosis.
