Inclusion of pregnant women in COVID-19 treatment trials: a review and global call to action

Summary: Despite the surge in COVID-19 treatment studies, a consistent proportion continue to exclude pregnant women, with many treatments under evaluation having low or no safety concerns during pregnancy. Urgent inclusion of pregnant women in clinical treatment trials is needed to identify effective COVID-19 treatments for this population.

Summary: This study aimed to identify biomarkers reflective of choline intake using MRS and MS techniques. The results showed a clear correlation between plasma betaine concentration and dietary choline intake, while plasma phosphatidylcholine concentration did not show a significant correlation.
