Tailoring Oxygen-Containing Groups on Graphene for Ratiometric Electrochemical Measurements of Ascorbic Acid in Living Subacute Parkinson's Disease Mouse Brains

Zhi-bei Qu et al.

Summary: The study investigated the changes of ascorbic acid (AA) in Parkinson's disease (PD) using an electrochemical approach and established a new platform for ratiometric electrochemical measurements of AA with high sensitivity, excellent selectivity, and reproducibility. The in vivo determination of AA levels in different regions of mouse brains demonstrated a significant decrease in AA levels in the hippocampus and cortex of PD mice compared to normal mice.
