Non-similar solution of Sisko nanofluid flow with variable thermal conductivity: a finite difference approach

Ankita Bisht et al.

Summary: This study presents a non-similar analysis of non-Newtonian nanofluid over a vertical stretching sheet with variable thermal conductivity using finite difference method. The results show that temperature increases with thermal conductivity and velocity ratio parameters, and decreases with thermal buoyancy parameter. Effective reduction of skin friction drag can be achieved by controlling thermal buoyancy and velocity ratio parameters.

Viscous dissipation and MHD hybrid nanofluid flow towards an exponentially stretching/shrinking surface

N. A. Zainal et al.

Summary: This study investigates the heat transfer performance of Al2O3-Cu/H2O in the magnetohydrodynamics stagnation point flow towards an exponentially stretching/shrinking surface with consideration of viscous dissipation effect. The findings reveal that the addition of nanoparticles increases the coefficient of skin friction and the local Nusselt number, while the viscous dissipation effect causes an increase in the thermal state of the fluid.

Critical values in axisymmetric flow of magneto-Cross nanomaterial towards a radially shrinking disk

Aamir Hamid et al.

Summary: This study investigates dual solutions for the influence of chemical reactions and radiation effects on axisymmetric flow of magneto-Cross nanomaterial towards a radially shrinking disk, taking into account stagnation points. By analyzing suitable graphs, the study examines the effects of various parameters on dimensionless velocity, thermal gradients, concentration gradients, skin friction, rates of heat and mass transfer. Results indicate that an increase in the Brownian motion parameter improves the thermal gradient but decreases the concentration gradient, while an increase in the thermophoresis parameter enhances the concentration gradient but exhibits a reverse trend for high Schmidt number values. Dual solutions exist within a certain range of shrinking parameters.

Non-similarity solutions of radiative stagnation point flow of a hybrid nanofluid through a yawed cylinder with mixed convection

Umair Khan et al.

Summary: The research explores mixed convective stagnation point flow of a hybrid nanofluid over a yawed cylinder with radiation impact, revealing significant results related to yaw angle, hybrid nanoparticle volume fraction, mixed convection, radiation, and non-similarity phenomena. The impact of the yaw angle on the velocity and temperature profiles of the hybrid nanofluid in different flow directions is discussed, along with the effects of hybrid nanoparticles on velocity and temperature in both assisting and opposing flow scenarios.

Magnetic Field Effect on Sisko Fluid Flow Containing Gold Nanoparticles through a Porous Curved Surface in the Presence of Radiation and Partial Slip

Umair Khan et al.

Summary: The study investigated the performance of nanofluids in blood flow and the effects of magnetic field and radiation on velocity and temperature. Results showed enhanced velocity distribution due to the magnetic field, while temperature increased as a result of the magnetic field and radiation, effective in therapeutic hyperthermia. Nanoparticle suspension exhibited increased temperature and decelerated velocity.

Steadily revolving flow of Sisko fluid along a stretchable boundary with non-linear radiation effects

Talat Rafiq et al.

Summary: This article investigates the heat transfer effects in rotating flow above an extensible surface immersed in a non-Newtonian fluid following Sisko fluid model. The study simplifies conservation equations and utilizes numerical analysis to demonstrate that the combination of stretching effect with Sisko fluid assumption can significantly improve the cooling process of the surface.
