Ni supported on La2O3+ZrO2 for dry reforming of methane: The impact of surface adsorbed oxygen species

Ahmed Sadeq Al-Fatesh et al.

Summary: This research investigates the impact of doping Ni/La2O3+ZrO2 with nitrates of Ca, Cr, Ga, and Gd on the conversion of the feed and H-2/CO molar ratio. Promoted catalysts outperform the un-promoted catalyst, with Cr promoted sample exhibiting the best performance. In addition, Ca promoted sample shows an interesting phenomenon of Ni-Ca movement out of the pores of the support during calcination.

Design of a carbon-resistant Ni@S-2 reforming catalyst: Controllable Ni nanoparticles sandwiched in a peasecod-like structure

Jiyang Wang et al.

Summary: This study successfully addressed the issues of carbon deposition and sintering in Ni-based catalysts for dry reforming of methane by embedding ultrafine nickel nanoparticles in microporous silicalite-2. The optimized Ni@S-2 catalyst exhibited superior activity and stability under high temperature and high load, providing a new possibility for designing other stable metal nanocomposites.

NixAl1O2-δ mesoporous catalysts for dry reforming of methane: The special role of NiAl2O4 spinel phase and its reaction mechanism

Shuangshuang Zhang et al.

Summary: The evolution of the surface NiAl2O4 spinel phase in NixAl1O2-delta mesoporous catalysts synthesized by the citric acid sol-gel method was systematically studied. The constructed Ni-0-NiAl2O4 interfaces and active oxygen species generated by filling oxygen vacancies of NiAl2O4 spinel play important roles in enhancing the stability and resistance to coking and sintering in dry reforming of methane reaction.
