Long non-coding RNAs as potential biomarkers in the prognosis and diagnosis of lung cancer: A review and target analysis

Younes Aftabi et al.

Summary: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNA) are emerging as novel molecular regulators in cancer, particularly in lung cancer where they may serve as biomarkers for prognosis and diagnosis. In silico analysis identified target genes and regulatory mechanisms of selected lncRNAs, revealing their involvement in controlling multiple signaling pathways related to lung tumors. The epigenetic mechanisms employed by lncRNAs in modulating numerous pathways suggest their potential as important diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for lung cancer.
