A systematic review of fear of cancer recurrence related healthcare use and intervention cost-effectiveness

Jake Thomas Warton Williams et al.

Summary: Fear of cancer recurrence (FCR) is a common and burdensome psychological condition affecting cancer survivors. This systematic review synthesised evidence on FCR-related healthcare usage, costs, and the cost-effectiveness of FCR treatments. The reviewed studies suggest that FCR is associated with increased healthcare usage and certain treatments may be cost-effective in reducing FCR and improving quality of life. Further high-quality research is needed to confirm these findings and ensure the implementation of efficient FCR treatments in the future.

Is a Brief Online Booklet Sufficient to Reduce Fear of Cancer Recurrence or Progression in Women With Ovarian Cancer?

Poorva Pradhan et al.
