Electron-Acoustic Solitons in Magnetized Collisional Nonthermal Plasmas

M. R. Hassan et al.

Summary: The properties of obliquely propagating dissipative electron-acoustic solitary waves in a magnetized collisional superthermal plasma are investigated, and the effects of different plasma configuration parameters on these waves are examined. The nature of electrostatic disturbances in different realistic space and laboratory plasma systems is briefly discussed.

Homotopy perturbation method for modeling electrostatic structures in collisional plasmas

Bothayna S. Kashkari et al.

Summary: In this study, a new method is proposed to investigate dissipative soliton collisions in collisional complex unmagnetized plasmas. High-accuracy numerical solutions are found using the homotopy perturbation method, and approximate analytical solutions are discovered to study the characteristics of solitons after collisions. The effects of plasma parameters on the phase shifts of colliding solitons are examined in the research results.

Dust-acoustic wave electrostatic and self-gravitational potentials in an opposite polarity dusty plasma system

Abdul Mannan et al.

Summary: The nature of electrostatic and self-gravitational potential structures in an opposite polarity dusty plasma system was identified through numerical analysis. It was found that the plasma system supports dust-acoustic solitary structures with positive and negative self-gravitational potentials but only with positive electrostatic potential. The amplitude of the solitary potential structures decreases with an increase in positive dust number density, and the effects of other dusty plasma parameters on these structures were also identified. Applications of this investigation in various dusty plasma systems were discussed.

Ion-acoustic shock waves in a magnetized plasma featuring super-thermal distribution

N. M. Heera et al.

Summary: In this theoretical investigation, the propagation of ion-acoustic shock waves in a magnetized pair-ion plasma was studied. The study focused on inertial warm positive and negative ions and super-thermal electrons and positrons. The results show that the oblique angle enhances the amplitude of shock profiles, and the steepness of the profiles decreases with the kinematic viscosity of the ion. Additionally, the height of the shock profiles increases (decreases) with the mass of the positive (negative) ion.

Damped dust-ion-acoustic solitons in collisional magnetized nonthermal plasmas

Md Rakib Hassan et al.

Summary: This study examines the characteristics of dissipative dust-ion-acoustic soliton modes in a multispecies magnetized collisional nonthermal plasma system, considering the influence of ion-neutral collision and the importance of the nonthermal kappa-distribution in such plasma environments. The results show significant impact on the propagation nature and basic features of dissipative DIASWs due to variation in plasma configuration parameters and supethermality index kappa.

Cosmic dusty plasmas via a (3+1)-dimensional generalized variable-coefficient Kadomtsev-Petviashvili-Burgers-type equation: auto-Backlund transformations, solitons and similarity reductions plus observational/experimental supports

Xin-Yi Gao et al.

Summary: This study investigates various types of waves in cosmic/laboratory dusty plasmas using symbolic computation and observational/experimental support, presenting a (3+1)-dimensional generalized variable-coefficient equation. By analyzing fluctuations and perturbations, the study derives auto-Backlund transformations, soliton families, and similarity reductions. The results align with experimentally reported findings, while suggesting potential justification for other effects through future experiments and observations.

Modulational instability of dust-ion-acoustic waves and associated first and second-order rogue waves in a super-thermal plasma

B. E. Sharmin et al.

Summary: The research focuses on exploring the modulational instability conditions of dust-ion-acoustic waves in a three-component dusty plasma system. Through numerical analysis, two types of modes are identified, and it is shown that the MI conditions and configuration of energetic rogue waves associated with the waves can be rigorously changed by varying plasma parameters. These findings contribute to understanding the formation criteria of electrostatic rogue waves in both astrophysical environments and laboratory experiments.
